Event to benefit Children's Hospital of Wisconsin

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin has been named a major beneficiary of the U.S. Bank Championship in Milwaukee.

The annual not-for-profit golf event is Wisconsin’s only permanent PGA Tour stop and has donated millions of dollars to Wisconsin charities over the course of its 42-year history. This year’s event will be held July 13-19 at Brown Deer Park GC in Milwaukee.

“We are proud to announce today the beginning of what we hope will be a long-running relationship with Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin,” Paul Knoebel, president of the U.S. Bank Championship’s board of directors said in late February when the announcement was made. “Children’s Hospital cares for some of the most fragile infants and children and as such plays an important and unique role in our community.”

Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin is rated No. 3 in the nation by Parents magazine and is recognized as one of America’s Best Children’s Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The event will support the hospital’s 41-bed Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where more than 600 infants with various health problems are cared for each year. The hospital will open a 12-story, 425,000-square-foot expansion this spring.
