TaylorMade’s hybrids

Especially if you find you can no longer hit that long, high 2-iron fade that you remember once hitting, or if your ball is nestled in the deep rough, or if you simply need desperately to get something between a 3-wood and a 5-iron airborne for a change, then maybe a hybrid club is for you.

TaylorMade hybrids are ranked No. 1 in use on the PGA Tour, as well as No. 1 is sales in the U.S. Over the last three years, one in three hybrid clubs purchased in the U.S. carried the TaylorMade name.

The company’s Movable Weight Technology, which was so successful with its r7 Quad driver line, is also available in its Rescue Dual hybrid. The two ports on the back of the club allow for placement of weights that can change the center of gravity to alter spin or trajectory to suit an individual golfer’s swing.

“Interest in hybrids has increased tremendously since the TaylorMade Rescue Mid jump-started the category in 2003,” said Wisconsin native Sean Toulon, TaylorMade’s executive vice president for product and brand creation. “It speaks volumes that TaylorMade’s leadership position in hybrids has grown.”

TaylorMade’s Rescue Dual has a street price of between $180 (steel shaft) and $200 (graphite). The Rescue Dual TP (tour preferred) has a street price of $300. Visit www.tmag.com or www.taylormadegolf.com for additional information.
