Ping may have saved the day for slow-swinging golfers.
The company’s new Rapture irons – which have a titanium face, tungsten toe weight and stainless steel body – use new weighting properties so golfers can produce higher flying shots. According to Ping, the club’s face and toe are engineered to create maximum forgiveness, and the high-density tungsten helps square the face at impact for improved accuracy and consistency.
Ping communications manager Pete Samuels said titanium-faced irons aren’t new, but other clubs similar to Rapture irons don’t “sound and feel right.” Ping, he said, has addressed that issue with these irons.
Rapture irons retail for $1,300. For more information or to find a local retailer, visit www.ping.com or call (800) 474-6434.
