More ‘juice’ from Nike Golf

Nike Golf rolls out its newest ball, the Juice 312, Nov. 1, aimed at golfers with “low to mid swing speeds” who are looking for a little more “juice” on their shots.

The new ball has just 312 dimples, the lowest number Nike has ever put on a ball. That, along with a “high velocity core,” in the words of the company, “combine to maximize carry, increase hang time and minimize drag, translating to greater distance.”

Nike has taken a decidedly lighthearted approach to marketing the new ball, noting, for example, that the ball “is not available in chewable form,” and that, because of its great distance potential – “ginormous and hugantic distance, according to a company release –  it be “played responsibly.”

For a tongue-in-cheek video look Nike’s “testing” of the new ball, visit www.nikegolf.com/juiceball.

The balls will carry a suggested retail price of $28 a dozen.
