Cleveland Golf is encouraging players to get into the groove with its new line of wedges. The Cleveland CG12 wedge pushes groove technology to the limit – the golf equipment conformance limit, that is – while offering classic Cleveland wedge design in a nice, shiny package.
GC12 wedges come equipped with ZIP Grooves, which according to Cleveland are the biggest grooves the company has ever produced – 25 percent larger than standard grooves. That allows better contact with the ball as grass and other debris are channeled away from the hitting area. The company finishes production with an innovative plating process to create precise performance and unmatched spin.
Cleveland offers a variety of options within the CG12 line. Numerous shaft options are available, and the clubs range from 46 to 60 degrees, including left-handed versions in all lofts. They also come with three bounce options: Low, standard and high.
CG12 wedges are available in classic chrome or pearl black. Suggested retail price for either version is $138 with a steel shaft and $163 with a graphite shaft.
