AJGA event to be held in Oregon

The American Junior Golf Association will play its annual Wisconsin event at a different golf course in 2009.

The McArthur Towel & Sports Future Legends tournament, which in the past has been held at The Legend at Brandybrook in Wales, will be played July 14-17 at The Legend at Bergamont in Oregon. According to the AJGA, the tournament will switch between the two locations every few years.

The 54-hole tournament will feature 120 boys and girls, ages 12-18, from all over the country. The 2008 boys division winner was Hartland’s Michael Sorenson, and Simin Feng of Orlando, Fla. won the girls division.
