Teeing off on the shores of the Dominican Republic sounds pretty good right now, doesn’t it? With beautiful landscapes and three championship golf courses, Puntacana Resort & Club is a golfer’s paradise.

La Cana GC , designed by P.B. Dye, has 14 ocean-view holes, four of them right along the water’s edge. The course’s state-of-the-art Seashore Paspalum grass used allows for maintenance with minimal environmental impact. La Cana was compared to Pebble Beach by Golf Magazine who called it “the number one course in the Caribbean.”

The Tom Fazio-designed Corales GC opened in April of 2010. Its landscape consists of ocean-front holes, rocky cliffs and coral reefs. Among its many highlights is hole No. 18, which overlooks the rocky Bay of Corales.

The Hacienda GC, also designed by P.B. Dye, is expected to be completed early this year.
