The brackets are set

The bracket for the 2012 World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship was released Monday morning. The seedings are based on the world ranking released Sunday night.

Here’s the lowdown on Stricker’s and Wilson’s opening-round matches:

Steve Stricker, seeded No. 2 in the Ben Hogan bracket, will face Kevin Na. It will be Stricker’s first time out since winning the Hyundai in Maui back in January.

Mark Wilson, a No. 10 seed, takes on Bo Van Pelt in the Bobby Jones bracket.

Other matches of note are No. 1 Luke Donald vs. Ernie Els, and Spain’s Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano will take on Tiger Woods. Besides keeping an eye on our hometown boys, I'm interested to see if Donald can repeat... or even get past Els in the first round. In the last three WGC-Accenture Match Plays, the defending champions have won a combined two matches and have never advanced to the second round.
